oh we can compare this game to the last, where the Axis got within $6 total income by turn 2 with more conventional strategy

brief game report: Our 12 VC, 1941 NO N.O.s game was kind of lopsided, however everyone agreed the Axis players made some experimental moves and it didn't turn out so well for them. The Allies were up by 23 to 26 IPC a turn for each of the 4 turns. Finally in turn 5 after a gigantic naval battle and some lucky rolling the US had the upper hand in the pacific and we secured our 12 VCs I still think the Axis stand a chance (and volunteer), but we'll have to look to Jun 19 at Dennis' house

I opened the meetup to 12 as we will probably be playing COTE in the family room and AA50 and another game in the Garage.

Looks like its a go for 1 game of AA50 and 1 game of COTE. Room for up to 6 players on the COTE board and up to 6 on the AA50.Currently we have 3 spots taken in COTE witha possible 4th (Joe).Ideally we would have 5 players on each board.War ON!

Boy, I am REALLY torn! I haven't played AA50 in a while, but I am also keen to give Conquest a go. Can we nail down the rule set we would be playing with for Conquest of the Empire? I think we should probably keep it pretty basic the first time around....

Sounds good Rick, anytime after 5:30 should be cool. Looks like at least 3 of us are up for some Conquest. "Cry havoc, and let loose the dogs of war!"

Another strong possibility for the second game could be Conquest of the Empire if there are at least 3 interested (count myself and Rick as 2).

If I play DDay or Guadalcanal with anyone, we will be using the optional rules for DDay and for Guadalcanal we will use "Hidden Movement" option and all the national advantage tokens.Likewise for Fortress America, we will be using the "5th column" expansion.Full Monty or nothing, I say!

By the way Travis, I am posting some optional rules that Larry Harris (the creator) came up with to balance D-Day a bit more.Check out the files section and if we play, we can decide which,if any or all, to use.
