On Attack the American commies allied themselves with the Asian Monarchs, A democratic Africa and a facist Europe also allies themselves. The Americas remained unscarred by war, whereas Africa,Australia and parts of Eurasia were the sight of many a bloody battle. Casulties were high, Asia suffered huge losses (airforce almost destoyed),but still won the game (well played Matt) the Americas lost thier much larger fleet to the puny Euro one (thanks Dennis-not!). Gg Matt,Dan and Dennis, thanks!

    Captain Africa!
AA50 board close game, down to the wire. Italy fell, followed by USSR, and Germany falling next round sealed the Axis fate. Allie's got very lucky with the US rolling long range Aircraft round 1 and heavy bombers round 3.

    Captain Africa!
I repost what I ask two weeks ago, if it was cool with the rest of the players, if I could take a crack at Russia since it's one of the least popular countries. Word

If any of the AA50 big board players feel like switching to Attack, pls let me know. I have a longtime A&A buddy who just moved to town and is interested in checking out our group for some A&A mayhem. If not, no big deal :D

that shouldnt be a problem, most players arent interested in Russia as much..will depend on the others playing on the AA50 though.

    •  Great meet-up and such a close game.
    •  Thanks again to Dennis and his family for allowing us to play at his house. It was another very sucessful night of waring. Thanks!
    •  The atmosphere was great! What a wonderful way to celebrate our 100th meeting with a turn out like this and four different games going on. :) Personally my game with Lynn was fantastic; a real battle with an innovative strategy by Lynn. He came very close to taking Russia and the UK barely got there in time to stop him but with the fall of Italy to the US Japan had no choice but to go for Moscow and was beaten back mercilessly and the game was over. Thanks to Dennis for hosting and thanks to Lynn for a tough battle; I enjoyed it very much! :)
    •  Thanks for hosting Dennis, and nice boards!
    •  Wow! A great evening for our 100th meetup. Max turnout and 4 simultanious games. Mucho thanks to all attendees. Will have photos and results file updated shortly. Looking forward to the next one, wherever it may be. War on! Dennis
    •  Very much enjoyed the 5-person AA50 game starting from the 1942 set-up; with Jeff-USSR, Greg-UK, Curtiss (me)-USA, Julio-Japan, & Randy-Germany/Italy. High-Tech rolls were key: Japan got jet fighters, but USA got long-range air & heavy bombers BOTH by turn 3 (Devastating!) even w/Germany's Improved Industry to reduce repair cost. Russia's tenacious defense staved off 4 German attacks, including 2 on Moscow; until Japan finally captured the Soviet capital on turn 7. Unfortunately, that same turn the UK was able to use recently acquired Advanced Artillery to launch an assault on Berlin; backed-up by American tanks & heavy bombers from Rome & the UK in case it failed. It succeeded & Japan conceded the game in the face of the Allied Juggernaught! 3 players tried AA-1942 w/o High-Tech; don't know who won (?) 4 players tried Attack! (like Risk, w/different unit types & combat mechanics), Asia won. Lenn-Axis & Andrew-Allies' 1-on-1 AA50 game was still in doubt (?) @ 2 am.
