Stu, that is right... but don't forget he also rolled 3 hits out of 3 rolls on 3's so adding in those odds make it over a 1 in 10,000 roll. :) I am sure I will NEVER see anything like it again in my lifetime. ;)

I asked a question on Yahoo Answers. The chances of throwing 9 dice and having 6 of them come up "one" are approximately 1 in 1040.

Oh my GOSH! that battle was so awesome! First Josh, don't feel bad, Russia is really hard to play. The US and UK we could have coordinated much better in retrospect. And then on Board 1, that was hilarious ath the end. Rolling 6 ones on 9 dice is surely huge odds. What hilarity, and that sealed the game. Dang! BEST NITE EVER!!!!

Swords would be good with a minimum of 4 players, so far Matt and Rick have shown interest, I know Joe might be persuaded...we'll see if anyone else is interested tonight. If you can get 4 players,It will be 1 game of Big board 5 man AA50, 1 game of 4 man big board Samurai Swords, and 1 game of D-Day(1v1).Otherwise since Andrew will be bringing his Big Board AA50, I thinkl 2 AA50 games with a roving Italian player would work best.See ya all here, Dennis

Is it to late to respond to : "Posted Apr 8, 2009 11:32 AM Rick Ludwig Big Dog If we cant have 2 AA50 big boards there, would anybody be interested in playing Samurai Sword aka Shogun with 5 players on Dennis's big board." I'm down to play Swords or whatever...I'm just looking to play!

No lack of players Mojo, with myself and Travis possibly playing D-Day, we will have 9 other players so a 5 man aa50 and a 4 man aa50 (or Samurai Swords,If theres interest).Tons of possibilities with this many players!

We will be playing at least 1 game of AA50, probably 2, so no worries for anyone who wants to play that.Other games that people are up for playing are: A&A D-Day(1v1), Conflict of Heros (1v1),A&A Guadalcanal(1v1) and Big Board Samurai Swords (3 to 5 players). If anyone is interested in any of these, speak up so I can arrange to have the game availiable and possibly set up before Game time.

My preference would be for AA50 -- but I'm also willing to see how many people show up, etc.

    •  Dennis, Thanks again for hosting. As always it was a monumental battle. Who knew such a small German fleet could cause so much chaos!!

This was very fun. The game was interesting, involved and very very un-predictable. Many tactical moves were superb and deserved to be copied for later games.
    • Stu
       awzome!
    •  Great time and great battle. I can not remember having a game where it seemed so many times that our side was going to lose and yet won. A very different and strange game with a lot of unusual actions on the Allies part. Dennis, a great defense for a very long time. Your hanging on again and again as Russia was the backbone of our Team. Travis, an excellent job as the UK. You saved Russia over and over with your timely and innovative UK actions and you where everywhere and did everything. The Allies would have lost for sure without you. For myself, my terrible Turn 1 battle almost cost us the game, but I hope I made amends by taking Italy as that was the turning point in the game. Well, that and Heavy Bombers. ;) Finally for those that were still there at 4 am to witness that last amazing battle. The odds of 9 hits are so low they do not show on my computer program; ie they are worse than 1 in 10,000 or they would show up. I had a great time. Thanks for hosting Dennis!
    •  Great meetup guys! Sorry my Russia play took us out of the game early. How did it end up?
    •  Great game gentlemen, although i'm getting to old for them 10-11 hr marathon games.
