While this is primarily an in-person meetup group, some of us have been having a great time playing each other PBEM in between meetups. Per Dennis' suggestion, I am opening an invite for a PBEM game using the TripleA client. I can send you instructions on where to download and how to use. Please join if you would like to play, and I will send instructions separately. We'll plan to start the game by the 30th or when we fill-up -- whichever comes first. I am requesting to play Allies, and would like to play America if possible. When you respond, please indicate which side/power you would prefer. If you have a strong preference for a different rule variant, please let me know.

The other games to be played will be determined by the number of Players and interest. New and veteren Players are welcome. Please bring a smile and a willingness to have fun! Note, game time to START playing is 6:30pm. People may show up to chat, talk, set up and prepare as early as 5:30pm.

Sorry for the short notice, but for up to 3 interested members , I will have some free time friday to teach/play Tide of Iron (a kick-ass tactical game of WW2 combat on the squad level) by Fantasy Flight Games. Hopefully this is the first of many small meetups devoted to learning and playing 1 game.Future possibilities include Memoir 44 overlord Scenarios, Attack! and expansion, and all the smaller scale Axis and Allies titles.

Special Samurai Swords/ Shogun night. Max of 5 players, minimum of 4 players or game will change to AA50 or Tide of Iron. Some drinks and snacks provided but feel free to bring more.For those who have not played before, Samurai Swords can roughly be described as Risk-like ,see bboard for links to the rules and photos section for "Samurai Swords war reports" for a couple of good pics of a game in action. No experience necessary, its a fairly easy game to learn.We'll be playing in the garage so bring a jacket or sweater.To Battle Osakisan,Hai yah!
