I changed the time to match Dennis' Sunday Night game time. Please be aware I will probably not be home till 6:20 pm so if you are early you will have to wait for me to arrive. What will you be doing at your Meetup? Playing Axis and Allies game or Variant. (Most likely Battle of the Bulge?) Who should come? Anyone wanting to play wargames. Are newcomers welcome? Newcomers are welcome. Do members need to bring anything? Depending on what games we play and how many people are coming perhaps a game. Why should people come? To have fun. How will members find you when they get there? Knock on my door. :) This is the first of a once a month game I will be having at my house in Sherwood complementing Dennis' once a month game on Sunday nights. We will try and play games that can be completed in 4-5 hours. I have room for up to three games in the same area.

Anyone interested in going to war.I must limit attendance to 10 as we will be playing in my garage..its big but not huge, we can probably accommidate 3 big board games at once. Are newcomers welcome? always. Do members need to bring anything? snacks and drinks provided, bring a jacket as we'll be in my garage. Why should people come? Big battles on Big boards...need i say more? How will members find you when they get there? Its my house and i'll be the big ugly guy:).

We will be getting together to play all day (1pm till the games are done). We will decide which game(s) via a poll and how many Players attend but possible games are History of the World, Axis and Allies BattleMaster Series (Classic, Revised, Pacific, Europe, D-Day, Fortress America, Shogun, Conquest of the Empire), World at War (Xeno Games) Risk 2210.

Conquest of the Empire classic version. Lead your legions and become the new emperor of Rome! Food and some drinks will be provided. If the group is too small an alternative game or games will be played. My home is just East of Vancouver I will post directions for attnedees. Moving it to Oct 8th because many players are out of town the 1st. If you come later alternate 2 person games are available.

My friend Doug is hosting a 7 ages game this Saturday in Vanocuver Washington. This game is best described as History of the World on steriods. People have empires and try to gain glory while advancing the empire's goals. I have only played once I had the Mongols and the Venetians. A google.com search on the web can bring info on this game better then I can describe it. It is a lot of fun but it will be an all day event so please do not say you want to play unless you can committ to this. Doub and his Mimi are excellant hosts and serve snacks and dinner everytime I go play games at their house. They host a gameday usually once a month on the second Saturday this is sort of a special invitation event. Guess if more then 2 it is first come first served. So if you are a game and history nut with lots of stamina this is an event for you!

I'm going to take a day off work because the polls indicate sunday night promises the best turnout. I will have a Shogun/ Samurai Swords Big Board completed and ready to break in if anyone is interested .
