Once again, I am putting the call out for any who are interested in becoming Assistant Organizers to this group. Its free and the only requirement is that you shoot me the results of any games you play at your meetup (who played what country in what game, who won,and any bid system/rules adjustments that were used).I know we have some players from Vancouver and Portland proper that would appreciate meetups held closer in.If you have any interest, respond in this thread and I'll get you set up so you can schedule your very own "Official Portland Axis and Allies Meetup".biggrinWar on! By the way, holding a meetup does not mean you have to commit to the 15 player extravaganzas myself and Andrew have had.I envision multiple Asst Organizers holding 4 to 6 player games on different days at different times at different locations to give our members multiple options. When you schedule a meetup you have the option of maximum attendance, waiting lists etc. so you can customize it to your comfort level or space availiability.War On!Dennis

Hi Dennis.

Please keep me in mind as an Assistant Organizer. I'd like to get a few more meetups under my belt before offcially committing, but I would not mind helping out here.

I think I can ditto Mojoman's post, especially as this Friday's meeting (2/13/09) will be my first meeting with the Portland A & A Meetup Group. Also I live in Vancouver, near Fisher's Landing, and I don't know how many of you feel comfortable driving very far. Andrew's place in Sherwood is a bit too far for me to go, especially if I'm up 'till midnight or later. (I'm usually in bed by nine these days, and up at 5:30 if I have a substitute teaching assignment in the morning.)

I just wanted to add that although, I can be of no help with organizing events, Guardian Games is often times available for games. So folks thinking of joining the ranks of organizer, need not worry about being able to host all the time. Hope this can be of help. Contact me if you have questions.
